As of May 07, 2026 project was awarded to Unity Construction Co., Inc, awarded amount is $28,209,828.55. All questions related to the Project shall be submitted by email no later than 5:00 p.m., local time, on Month 18, 2026, to Brian Jones at bjones@hazenandsawyer.com. Questions, if answered, will be addressed by addendum to the Contract Documents. Receipt of any amendment to this Advertisement for Bids shall be acknowledged, in writing, and shall be submitted with the Bid. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond with good and sufficient surety or sureties approved by the Owner for faithful acceptance of the contract, payable to, in favor of, and for the protection of the Owner in an amount equivalent to five percent of the total amount payable by the terms of the contract or, in lieu thereof, a certified check, cashier's check, or cash in equal amount. The Bid Bond shall be prepared on the Bid Bond form attached to the Contract Documents or a Surety Company's Standard Bid Bond, duly executed by the Bidder as principal and having as Surety thereon a surety company licensed to do business in the State of Georgia and listed in the latest issue of U.S. Treasury Circular 570. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond, Payment Bond, Certification of Contractor's Attorney, and Contractor's Agreement with the executed Agreement meeting the requirements of the Contract Documents and executed on the forms attached to the Agreement. All Bids will remain subject to acceptance for sixty days after the day of the Bid opening, but Owner may, in its sole discretion, release any Bid and return the Bid security prior to that date. The Owner reserves the right to reject all Bids, to waive informalities and re-advertise. Completion- 720 consecutive calendar days A. The Work is located at the following Site: Project is located across several properties starting just north of the intersection of Burnt Hickory Road and West Avenue to Georgia State Route (SR) 293 (aka "Cassville Road"). B. The Work to be performed under this Contract includes, but is not limited to, constructing the Work described below and all appurtenances related to the Work. The Work shall be as follows: 1. Construction of approximately 27,000 linear feet of 36-inch water transmission main and appurtenances, including: a. Four CSX railroad crossings by trenchless excavation method. b. Eleven open cut stream crossings of Nancy Creek and its tributaries. c. Three open cut public right-of-way crossings at Mission Road, Sugar Valley Road, and W. Iron Belt Road. 2. Construction of approximately 1,000 linear feet of 12-inch water distribution main and appurtenances. 3. All other work not explicitly listed above but required by the Drawings and Specifications.
