Renovation of a mixed-use development in Big Stone Gap, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 3,160-square-foot educational facility.
Sealed bids are invited for the construction of the Relocation and Expansion of Health Care Simlab project at Mountain Empire Community College, Project Code # 260-18721-004 located in Big Stone Gap, Virginia. The project is generally described as the relocation and expansion of the healthcare simulation facilities. Sealed bids will be received electronically through eVA or at Virginia Community College System, Attention: Mrs. Sibyl Roberts, 300 Arboretum Place, Suite 200, Richmond, Virginia 23236. For shipping/mailing, use Suite 390; for hand delivery, use Suite 200. Bids may be modified as per the Instructions to Bidders using fax number (804) 819-4762 and copying sroberts@vccs.edu. A Standard Commonwealth Bid Bond is required (form CO-10.2) and Contract Security is required for any bid regardless of the bid amount. The bidder or offeror shall be a registered vendor in eVA. Contractor shall process all Pay Applications/Invoices through the Owner's web-based project management software, e-Builder. There is no fee to use e-Builder. Owner will provide support or training to the Contractor as necessary. RELOCATION OF MOUNTAIN EMPIRE COMMUNITY COLLEGE'S EXISTING SIM LAB TO GODWIN HALL. AN EXISTING COMPUTER LAB LOCATED IN GODWIN HALL ROOM 216 WILL BE RENOVATED TO ACCOMMODATE THIS NEW FUNCTION. The deadline for submitting pre-bid questions will be Thursday, March 19, 2026, at 4:00 P.M.
