Site work for a water / sewer project in Renton, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The work consists of replacing approximately 4,974 lineal feet of existing 4-inch, 6-inch, and 8-inch asbestos concrete water main with 5,430 lineal feet of 4-inch, 8-inch, and 16-inch ductile iron water main, as well as the replacement of fire hydrants, valves, blow offs, meter boxes, and water service lines from the new water main to the meter. The project also includes asphalt concrete patch and overlay, cement concrete driveway repair, and surface restoration. The existing water mains will be abandoned in place after being filled with controlled density fill, and the existing roadway will have a half-width grind and overlay where the new ductile iron main has been installed. Sealed bids must be accompanied by a bid security for a sum not less than five percent of the bid. Mandatory bidder responsibility criteria must also be submitted. A mandatory 10% apprentice labor hours of the total labor hours are required for the construction contract. The entity reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive any informalities, and select whichever bids they determine to be the best value. No bidder may withdraw their bid for thirty days after the bid opening. Bidders are responsible for registering to receive addenda notifications and should check relevant online plan rooms for updates.
