The work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, safety equipment, permitting, erosion and sedimentation control measures, taxes, profit, overhead, and other costs and effort required to complete roadway and pedestrian improvements with a focus on upgrading sidewalk infrastructure to enhance safety, accessibility, and connectivity. This includes construction of new 4-inch concrete sidewalk, installation of GDOT Standard detectable warning panels at pedestrian crossings, and replacement of concrete driveways to ensure ADA compliance and smooth transitions. Supporting roadway work involves new curb and gutter, a 10-inch graded aggregate base, and recycled asphalt pavement placed in multiple lifts. All work must be coordinated with the City of Covington and other utility owners in the project area and completed within 120 consecutive calendar days. All work must comply with provided plans and specifications and will be awarded in one contract using the design-bid-build delivery method.
