Question deadline is 03/12/2026. Work consists of interior renovations at Mascoutah Elementary School to include flooring recovering, painting, door replacement, and complete renovation and relocation of existing locker rooms into new classroom and office layout. New flooring is to be received at Mascoutah Middle School. At the building on Jefferson Street, work will include retrofitting a retail space into educational space. Interior upgrades include, but are not limited to, toilet renovations, storefront replacement, electrical, fire suppression, and alarm additions. Bids will be based on a single lump sum general construction contract and shall include not less than the prevailing hourly wage rate determined by the Illinois Department of Labor. Bid Security is required in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the proposal, made payable unconditionally to the Owner. Security shall be certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond issued by a surety licensed to conduct business in the State of Illinois. Within ten days after notification of award of contract, the successful contractor shall furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the amount of 100 percent of the contract and the payment of all obligations arising thereunder using a form similar to the AIA 312th Form, or one acceptable to the Owner. The Performance Bond will become a part of the contract. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities and irregularities in any bid, or to make awards in the best interests of the Owner.
