The Town of Brookline is requesting sealed bids for two paving projects which may include cold planing, spot shimming, paving, and single lift paving. The first project is located on Grassy Brook Road beginning at Parker Road and ending at the bridge near the Brookline Town Office, approximately less than 1 mile long. The ending location may be adjusted based on the awarded price per ton cost. The work consists of cold planing at project tapers, a full-width shim with 1 inch and overlay with 2 inches of pavement, or spot shimming designated locations with 1 inch and overlay with ¾ inches of pavement. The second project is located on the south side of the Papoose bridge to house 432 address. Attendance at the Pre-Bid Conference is required to submit a bid. The project(s) start date is July 1, 2026, with a completion date of September 30, 2026. No paving will be done after September 30, 2026 without written consent from the Road Foreman. All bids must be submitted on the provided bid form, filled out completely, signed, printed name, and dated. Handwritten bid forms must be in ink and legible; corrections must be initialed and dated. Illegible forms will not be accepted. Only the last submitted bid will be considered if multiple are submitted. Bidders must bid separately for each project in a price per ton in place format. Bids for multiple projects may be on the same form, but bids as a lump sum will be rejected. Bids must be received at the Brookline Town Office no later than 6:00pm on March 18, 2026. Sealed bids must be clearly marked "Paving Bid." Selection criteria include total project cost, qualifications, ability to meet contract terms and quality, and past performance. The Town reserves the right to accept or reject any bids, amend or withdraw the Request for Bids, cancel projects, request supplemental documents, and accept or reject requests for a special pre-bid conference based on special or mitigating circumstances.
