Information on GN, DT-1, and ES-1 also apply to this Bid Alternative. - Specification section 33 14 19 Valves and Hydrants for Water Utility Services applies only to the Bid Alternative #1. Other specification sections for the base bid also apply to the work under Bid Alternative #1. - Work includes installation of a 2-inch tap, 2-inch service line, a meter pit with a 2-inch meter, and a flushing hydrant as shown on WAT-6. Londonderry Township is requesting bids for the River Road Water Meter Replacement Project. The work includes installation of sixteen water meters in meter pits along River Road, installation of water service line and curb stops, vegetative restoration, and all other work identified in the contract drawings. Bid security in the form of a Certified Check or Bid Bond shall be furnished with the bid in an amount not less than 10%. All questions about the meaning or intent of the bidding documents are to be submitted via PennBID according to the instructions to bidders. Telephone inquiries are not accepted. Bidders must comply with state antibid-rigging regulations and submit an executed non-collusion affidavit. All bidders are required to submit a Public Works Employment Verification Form as a precondition for contract award. The Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act applies. All bids shall be irrevocable for 60 days after the bid opening date, unless delayed by required government approval or funding, in which case bids remain valid for 120 days. Londonderry Township reserves the right to waive any defects, errors, omissions, or mistakes, to accept any bid or combination of bids deemed in its best interest, and to reject any or all proposals. Bidders should refer to provisions of federal and state statutes, rules and regulations dealing with the prevention of environmental pollution and preservation of public natural resources that affect the project, pursuant to Act No. 247 of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, approved October 26, 1972. This Project falls under The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania enacted Act 141 of 2022, known as the Public Works Employment Verification Act ('the Act') which requires all public work contractors and subcontractors to utilize the Federal Government's E-Verify system to ensure that all employees performing work on public work projects are authorized to work in the United States. All Bidders are required to submit a Public Works Employment Verification Form as a precondition for the Contract Award. The estimated cost for this project is greater than Twenty-five Thousand Dollars ($25,000) and the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act shall apply. All bids shall be irrevocable for 60 days after the bid opening date unless award is delayed by a required approval of another government agency, the sale of bonds, or the award of a grant or grants, in which case this Bid shall remain subject to acceptance for 120 days after the bid opening date as provided by the Act of November 26, 1978 (P.L. 1309, No. 317), as amended by the Act of December 12, 1994 (P.L. 1042, No. 142).
