A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** Work includes the following modifications to the existing building: Area 1: New security entry lobby will be added to the reception area. A new secure storefront entrance will be installed north of the reception desk, and doors within the secure vestibule will be keyed to control access to adjacent spaces within the vestibule. Areas 2 and 3: Addition of walls and doors at the gym to separate access from those areas to the rest of the building. Deliver bids to 2625 Thalia Street, before 2:00pm, for the project entitled Edward Livingston School Renovations at 7301 Dwyer Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70126. Complete bidding documents are available from www.centerlinebidconnect.com via the Centerline bidding module, where prospective bidders can view, download, or print bid documents at no charge. Bidders may use Centerline to submit bids electronically. All questions, inquiries, and requests for additional information must be submitted electronically via www.centerlinebidconnect.com. Answers will be issued as Addenda and posted on the website. All bids must include bid security equal to 5% of the low bid, in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or Bid Bond in favor of the Collegiate Academies, accompanied by an appropriate power of attorney. The successful bidder must furnish a Performance and Payment Bond written by a company licensed to do business in Louisiana, in the amount equal to 100% of the contract value. The Surety Company must be listed on the Department of Treasury Financial Management Service List or be a Louisiana domiciled insurance company with the required rating and surplus limits. The bond must be signed by the Surety's agent or attorney-in-fact and countersigned by a licensed agent residing in Louisiana. A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at the project site. Bids will only be accepted from contractors who attend the pre-bid conference. Contractors must be licensed for Building Construction and comply with applicable Louisiana statutes. No bid may be withdrawn for forty-five days after receipt. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause.
