Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in San Jose, California. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
The project generally involves sink hole cavity repairs on the west side of the Tully Road Bridge over Coyote Creek. The work shall also include compaction grouting, controlled density fill backfills, installation of subsurface drainage behind abutments, and hot mix asphalt overlay. Bidders must have a valid California contractors license, classification A, and be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations. The project is subject to prevailing wage requirements, the Citys Wage Theft Prevention Policy, a Project Labor Agreement, and nondiscrimination/nonpreferential treatment policies. Each bid must be accompanied by a bidders bond for not less than 10% of the total aggregate amount of the bid. Bonds must be issued by an admitted surety insurer in the State of California and name the City of San José as beneficiary. The contractor to whom the contract is awarded must also provide a Contractors Payment Bond and a Bond for Faithful Performance, each for 100% of the contract amount. The project is subject to California Air Resources Board (CARB) In-Use Off-Road Diesel-Fueled Fleets requirements, and compliance certificates must be submitted. All proposals must be submitted via Biddingo, bidders are responsible for ensuring their bid is submitted prior to the deadline, and all requests for information must be submitted through the Biddingo portal. Bidders must check Biddingo periodically for updates and are responsible for reviewing all procurement and contract process integrity and conflict of interest information. Contact with City officials or evaluation team members other than those specified is grounds for disqualification. The Contractor, in its bid proposal, shall be required to disclose its license type, number, and expiration date.
