Renovation of a municipal facility in Huntington, West Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The scope of work includes the removal and replacement of the cooling tower at City Hall located at 800 5th Avenue, Huntington, West Virginia. Vendors are required to provide labor and materials necessary to complete the work, haul and dispose of all debris, and provide a minimum manufacturer's material warranty. Bids must include a 5% bid bond, as well as payment and performance bonds. Installers are responsible for daily clean-up, ensuring no debris leaves the construction site, and leaving the work area broom clean at the end of installation. Specific tasks include providing an exact replacement Bap cooling tower, disconnecting and properly disposing of the existing tower, providing a crane for removal and replacement, replacing 4 X 6 I-beams support, repainting angle and channel beams, installing new walkway steel on the back and right sides, reinstalling the railway in front of the tower and replacing supports, and installing and reconnecting the new cooling tower. Bidders are instructed that a mandatory site visit is required. Bids should be submitted through BidExpress.com and bonds are required as specified.
