Sealed bids are invited for the roof replacement at Alhambra City Hall. Bids are to be received in the office of the City Clerk, with public opening occurring in the City Council Chambers. Specifications and contract documents are available from the City Clerk's Office or on the City website. The project requires compliance with State Labor Code provisions, prevailing wage rates, and apprenticeship employment standards established by the State Director of Industrial Relations and the Federal government. Non-discrimination in employment and bidding is mandated. A 5 percent retention will be deducted from all progress payments. The work should include an assessment of all services, labor, additional materials, and equipment necessary to perform the work described herein and in accordance with all state, federal and local requirements. Contract Award: The correct date is Monday, April, 27, 2026. Contractor to comply with Roof Site Maps to determine scopes of work for each building. C. Contractor to provide fenced staging area with sand bags and fabric screens. H. Contractor to install surface protection to prevent overspray of all sealants and adhesives. J. All vent covers to be removed and replaced with new. M. Contractor to ensure positive drainage to all drains, scuppers, gutters and edges. N. Roof Replacement Scope of Work Contractor to raise all mechanical units and increase curb height to 8" minimum above installed roof system unless a unit is marked as exempt on the pre-bid jobsite walk. All drain bowls are to be replaced with new cast iron drain bowls and cast iron drain covers. Drains must be lead flashed. Drains must be tested after installation to ensure no leaks. Contractor to maintain clean jobsite with daily cleaning of nails/screws, tools, materials and other debris.
