The project consists of all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary to do a modernization of one of the IT rooms (IT-6) at Alhambra High School in preparation for an interim location to house the VAPA program as stipulated and implied in the contract documents. Bidders must submit sealed bids on the form provided by the District. Bids must be responsive and received by the specified deadline; late bids will be returned unopened. There is a mandatory pre-bid job walk for all interested contractors, and failure to attend will result in the bidder being deemed non-responsive. Each bidder must be a licensed contractor to perform the work required and must possess a valid and active Class B License at the time of the bid and throughout the contract. The license number should be clearly stated on the proposal. Bidders and subcontractors must also be registered as public works contractors with the Department of Industrial Relations, and all registrations must remain active during the contract. Subcontractors must be licensed for the necessary trades. Bidders must certify that they meet the Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) goal or have made a good faith effort to solicit DVBE participation. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids or waive any irregularity in any bid received. No bidder may withdraw their bid for ninety days after the date of bid opening unless required by law. Pre-Bid Clarifications (RFIs) regarding this Invitation for Bid must be received in writing to Elizabeth Roman at bids@ausd.us by 10:00 AM on Friday, April 10th , 2026.
