Heating equipment must be of an indirect type with adequate capacity and precise control to prevent burning or overheating materials. Distributors must apply materials evenly and uniformly, with necessary pressure gauges, measuring devices, calibrated tanks, and thermometers. Cracks and joints must be thoroughly clean and dry before sealing, using high-pressure compressed air and cleaning equipment capable of removing sand, debris, and loose material. Heat lances used for cleaning and drying must meet specified temperature and velocity requirements.
