The City of Alamo Heights seeks to relocate the water services for 351 homes in the City. The existing water main and existing water meters are in the back of the homes along the alleys. A new water main has been installed along the streets and new water meters have been installed. The water service will be relocated by extending from the front of the lot to the rear of the yard through jack and bore operations, then with jack and bore or open cut the water service will be extended across the lot to the existing meter. The existing water meter will be removed, and the water services will be tied into the homes service lines before the private cutoff valve. Once construction is complete, the yard will be restored to the existing condition. The City of Alamo Heights seeks to relocate the water services for 351 homes in the City. Once construction is complete, the yard will be restored to the existing condition. All work for the water relocation and its incidentals will be paid for under SAWS Specification 823. The water line relocation cannot be placed under any structures such as homes, permanent storage, guest homes, swimming pools, retaining walls, etc. The layouts provided show approximate locations of the water service relocation, but final proposed locations will be coordinated with the City's Public Works Department and the City Engineer. 1.03 The Project is to be substantially complete and ready for operation before seventy-five (75) calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed, subject only to extensions of Contract Time expressly authorized in writing in accordance with the Contract Documents. Final Completion of the Project, including completion of all punch-list items and submission of all closeout documentation required under the Contract Documents, shall occur no later than thirty (30) calendar days after the date established for Substantial Completion. Upon Final Completion and satisfaction of all contractual requirements, the Project shall be eligible for final payment.
