Renovation of an industrial development in State College, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a industrial development.

Doc note-Bidding Documents including plans and specifications are on file and open for inspection at the Authority's office, 1201 West Branch Road, State College, PA 16801 during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.) and at the offices of Gwin, Dobson & Foreman, Inc., 3121 Fairway Drive, Altoona, PA, 16602-4475 and may be examined or requested between the hours of 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Phone 814-943-5214, Fax 814-943-8494. Sets of documents may be obtained from the Engineer upon payment for each set of a non-refundable fee of One Hundred Fifty Dollars and No Cents ($150.00). Express mail requests will require additional payment to cover such costs. Payment also accepted using VISA and MasterCard. Contract documents may also be obtained electronically at no charge. Bidding documents including plans, specifications and addenda, must be obtained directly from the Engineer to be considered The work to be performed consists of a garage roof replacement and associated appurtenances located on West Branch Road in College Township, Centre County, PA. Each bid must be accompanied by a Certified or Bank Check, or Bid Bond naming as payee or obligee, as applicable, the State College Borough Water Authority, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid as security for proper execution of the Agreement and submitting other documents as required by the Bidding Documents. The successful bidder will be required to execute the Agreement and to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in the amount of One Hundred Percent (100%) of the Contract Price. The contractor will also be required to furnish evidence of insurance coverage as required by the Bidding Documents. All bonds must be executed by sureties named in the current list, "Companies Holding Certificates of Authority as Acceptable Sureties in Federal Bonds and as Acceptable Reinsuring Companies" as published in Circular 570 by the U.S. Treasury Department and must be acceptable to the State College Borough Water Authority. No bids may be withdrawn except in accordance with the withdrawal requirements of Act No. 4 of the General Assembly of Pennsylvania, Senate Bill 793, Printers No. 1655, as amended. All bids shall be in a sealed envelope and plainly marked as indicated. The Bidding Information, Contract Information, General Requirements and Detailed Technical Specifications for the Contract are herewith bound together as one book entitled in part Specifications and Contract Documents Manual, for Contract No. 12- 2026: Garage Roof Replacement, State College Borough Water Authority, College Township, Centre County, PA. D. The Drawings for the Contract are bound separately entitled in part Contract No. 12- 2026: Garage Roof Replacement, State College Borough Water Authority, College Township, Centre County, PA. E. The intent and meaning of the Contract Documents is that the Contractors, under the terms of the Contract will take such action as necessary and/or required to provide labor, supervision, plant, materials, supplies, equipment, power, transportation, facilities, etc., whether temporary or permanent, which are indicated or may be reasonably inferred from each Drawing and each section of these Specifications, all of which are collectively necessary and/or required for the execution of the Work. F. The Project was designed generally around the first or singularly named manufacturer. If any Contractor chooses to furnish an alternately named manufacturer, or if one not named is approved, then he is responsible for all costs of re-engineering and the costs of any structural, electrical, or other revisions required to suit the alternate equipment or materials. G. The Contractors' attention is directed to the special requirements relative to project sequencing and scheduling in this section. These requirements have been established to provide for the orderly and timely completion of the Work of this project without interference with the Owner's ongoing operations which demand that the existing water mains and associated facilities remain in operation at all times during the course of completing the Project. H. Each Contractor must at all times diligently pursue the completion of the various work elements and coordinate this Project with the Owner's operations. Each Contractor will direct their efforts in such a manner as to assure completion in accordance with approved schedules. I. The Work includes the provision of temporary facilities, supports, wiring, and controls all as indicated on the Drawings, as specified herein, and/or as required for the proper, orderly, safe, and timely completion of the Work. Each Contractor will note that the Drawings are general in detail and scope with respect to the extent of demolition, cutting, patching, removal of existing facilities, etc. and that all such Work will be provided by the Contractor, whether specifically indicated on the Drawings or not, which is necessary for the completion of the Work or for the proper operation and appearance of the finished installation, in accordance with the intent of the Contract Documents for this Project. K. Each Contractor is advised that information shown on the plans or referenced herein relative to the depiction of existing facilities is shown for information purposes only. No representatives or warranties are given or implied relative to the accuracy thereof. The data is presented or described only to indicate the general and approximate extent of existing facilities. Each Contractor shall consider these facilities the preparation of their bid and include any contingent costs in those items for which payment will be made. No separate payment will be made for adjustments or modifications in the work due to inaccuracies in the nature or assumption of existing facilities, except as may be determined or warranted by the Owner/Engineer. Payment for changes in the work, if found necessary or prudent, shall be reimbursed only through the Change Order provisions. L. Each Contractor will note that certain sections or components of the Drawings refer to "New" and/or "Proposed" work. It shall be understood that all such references to "New" or "Proposed" work shall mean work that is included in this project. Question Deadline: 03/20/2026 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be directed to Engineer in writing. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
