Sealed bids are invited and may be forwarded by mail, courier, or in person for the 2026 Community Crossings Matching Grant Application #15247 & #15255, located in Shelby County, Indiana. The contract consists of paving and associated work items on various streets throughout the Town of Morristown. Each bid must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the project title and the bidders name and address, and must be submitted on bid forms identified in the contract documents. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check or acceptable bidders bond made payable to the Owner in a sum of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid. Approved performance and payment bonds guaranteeing faithful and proper performance of work and materials, executed by an acceptable surety company, will be required at the time the contractor executes the contract. The bond will be in the amount of 100% of the contract price and must remain in effect throughout the term of the construction contract plus twelve months from the date of substantial completion. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, accept any bid or combination of bids, and waive informalities. Bidders may withdraw bids prior to the scheduled opening or authorized postponement but not after the closing time for at least sixty days. The Owner may investigate bidders qualifications and may reject a bid if the bidder is deemed unqualified. Bids must be properly and completely executed on bid forms included in the contract documents and must include all information requested by Indiana Form 96 (Revised 2026). If the project is $150,000 or more, the bidder is required to submit with the bid a written plan for an employee drug testing program that complies with Indiana Code requirements. Each bidder is responsible for inspecting the project site(s) and thoroughly reviewing the contract documents and specifications. Failure to do so does not relieve the bidder from any obligation regarding its bid. . Any questions shall be directed to Scott Kreeger of HWC Engineering by email only at skreeger@hwcengineer.com. The deadline for questions is Thursday, March 12, 2026, at 10:00 am Substantial Completion Date shall be September 25, 2026 5. Final Completion Date shall be October 23, 2026
