The Rappahannock County Water & Sewer Authority (RCWSA) is requesting bids for electrical work for its EQ tank project at the Sperryville WWTP in Sperryville, VA. The below grade conduit is existing and is shown on drawing E-101. The successful bidder will provide new conduits, boxes, and fittings, and all related work required to extend the existing conduit system to the equipment shown on the drawings. The bidder is to provide, install, test, and terminate all required wiring using the new and existing conduit system. Reference should be made to sheets E-102 and E-102A for all conduit and wiring required for the work. The Project has an expected duration of 180 days. The overall project includes the upgrade of a small wastewater treatment plant in Sperryville, Va. In summary, the project includes the following new Work: 1. Equalization (EQ) Tank. 2. 3-phase electrical service. 3. Blowers, UV System, EQ pumping system. 4. Electrical, piping, and aeration systems. 5. Instrumentation, Control, and Monitoring System. 6. Process-Mechanical and electrical installation for all the equipment. 7. Commissioning of the completed project and systems. B. Contractual Arrangements: 1. The project is being constructed using several contractors each with a separate contract with the Owner. In summary, the scope of work for the other major contractors include: a. Process-Mechanical Contractor: 1) Installation and mechanical connection of new mechanical equipment. 2) Installation and completion of piping systems and valves. 3) Installation of the instrumentation field devices. b. Controls Contractor: 1) Provide factory built complete and intact Main Control Panel that requires only external power and signal connections. 2) Provide field instruments. 3) Commissioning for the Main Control Panel, field instruments, and other connected equipment. C. In general, the Electrical Contractor (this Contract) will provide the following to support the overall project: 1. Installation of switchboard and other electrical equipment.Installation and termination of power wiring for new and existing equipment. 3. Installation and termination of instrument signal wiring for new and existing equipment. 4. Installation of the Main Control Panel (provided under this Contract). 5. A complete and functional electrical system. 6. Note that the below grade conduit system is existing and is shown on Drawing E101. Provide new conduits, boxes, and fittings, and all related Work required to extend the existing conduit system to the equipment shown on the Drawings. Provide, install, test, and terminate all required wiring using the new and existing conduit system. 7. Coordinate schedules with the Process-Mechanical and Controls Contractors. 8. Commissioning assistance for all equipment with power and signal provided under this Contract. Bids are requested for the following Contract: Sperryville EQ Project Package No.6 - Electrical
