Sealed bids are requested from properly licensed and insured contractors for the Gateway Logistics Center - County Earthwork Package project. This project involves constructing 25 acres (Phase 1 & 2) of a planned 45 acre commercial/industrial park on Garcon Point Road. This project is primed for Warehouse Distribution Center tenants due to the proximity to Interstate 10. All segments of the business community are encouraged to participate, including small businesses, minority/women owned businesses, and disadvantaged business enterprises. The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to waive irregularities in bids, to reject any or all bids with or without cause, and to award the bid that it determines to be in the best interest of Santa Rosa County. Questions concerning this request should be submitted through online by 12:00 pm on March 13, 2026. Time for completion of all work included in this contract shall not exceed 120 days from date of written Notice to proceed. The number of days allowed does not include an allowance for calendar days missed due to weather. Extension of time will be allowed for delays due to weather if properly documented and reported to the Engineer. This specific project will be split into two phases. The first phase will entail the construction of a new wet stormwater detention pond, outfall control structures, and ground preparation / earthwork to ready the site for future development of the site under a lease agreement with a private developer for two warehouse distribution buildings. A second phase of construction, which is a bid alternate addition, will entail the construction of a second wet stormwater detention pond, outfall control structures, and ground preparation / earthwork to ready the site for buildings 3 and 4.
