The Regional Transportation Commission of Washoe County will be accepting sealed bid proposals for construction of the Traffic Signal Fiber 26-01 (PWP-WA-2026-040). Prospective bidders must be contractors presently licensed under Nevada State Law for the specified type of work. Every bid must be accompanied by a Surety Company Bid Bond, or by a certified or cashiers check made payable to the Regional Transportation Commission in the amount of not less than five percent of the bid. Prevailing wage rates for Washoe County must be posted on the work site and paid to all classifications of labor as required by Nevada law. The work under this contract shall commence within five calendar days of the commencement date set forth in the Notice to Proceed and must be completed within forty-five working days after that date. Bidders are responsible for downloading plans, specifications, and solicitation documents, and for obtaining addenda and supplemental information. Any questions must be submitted via ProcureWare by Friday, March 13, 2026, at 4:00 PM The project will install conduit and fiber on Sullivan Lane from Greenbrae Drive to Victorian Avenue and El Rancho Drive from McCarran Boulevard to Prater Way in order to connect the signals to the network. Connecting the signals will increase RTC's capabilities to manage traffic operations in the region. The scope of work includes: - Trenching, Backfill, Patching, and Overlay - Horizontal Directional Drilling - Install Fiber-optic Conduit and Pull-Boxes - Install Fiber-optic Trunkline - Perform Fiber-optic Splicing - Install Retroreflective Traffic Signal Backplates - Install Internally Illuminated Street Name Signs
