The City of Sunnyvale is seeking qualified contractors to provide all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to complete a trenchless sewer pipe rehabilitation project. This project involves the insertion of 270 linear feet of new forced sewer pipe inside the existing sewer line using the pipe bursting method, a trenchless technology that minimizes surface disruption while replacing damaged or aging underground infrastructure. This project will involve pipe bursting a method of sewer line replacement that fractures the existing pipeline while simultaneously pulling in a new pipe, typically composed of high-density polyethylene (HDPE), into the created void. The objective is to provide a smooth, durable, leak-proof pipeline to improve flow and reduce future maintenance issues. All necessary demolition, grading, site prep, and off-haul of spoils are included in this project. The contractor is responsible for ensuring public and worker safety throughout the duration of the work. Furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment and performing all work necessary and incidental to the completion of the project known as Trenchless Sewer Line Repair at Sunnyvale Golf Course in accordance with the specifications, as further detailed in Section III Specifications.
