Reference Number 0000414789 The Hamtramck Parks Conservancy is seeking proposals from qualified industrial paint companies to repaint the extensive exterior railing system. The galvanized steel railings were painted during the grandstand renovation in 2022, but the application began to fail within two years. The current paint is flaking off in many sections and has become unsightly. We seek a solution that will be durable and long-lasting, and provide an attractive surface coating for this highly visible element. The 2026 baseball season begins in early April, so we seek to have this work completed in time for enjoyment during this season. If work must be performed during the active portion of the season, the selected company will need to make concession to the established schedule of games and schedule onsite activities in a way that does not interfere. The selected company will be expected to provide labor and materials, including cost of delivery, to: 1. Remove all existing paint through media blasting 2. Prime all railing surfaces with high-performance rust-inhibiting steel primer 3. Paint all railing surfaces with high-performance exterior urethane (two coats) Grandstand, site, and field protection: 1. Masking and covering of all potentially affected surfaces 2.
