Site work for a water / sewer project in Liberty, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Work shall include but is not limited to improvements to existing 8'' and 10'' ductile iron watermains in the vicinity of the Village Elm Street Well, including but not limited to: furnishing and installing new valves, fire hydrants and appurtenances, and other miscellaneous items necessary to complete the work. All work will need to be coordinated with the Village of Liberty Water Department. Each bid must be accompanied by security in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. No Bidder may withdraw their bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual date of opening. Bidders are advised that Labor and Material and Performance Bonds are required, each in the amount of 100% of the contract prices, as well as a Certificate of Insurance demonstrating required coverage. The successful bidder(s) shall also provide a one-year maintenance bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price at the completion of work. Bidders and/or significant subcontractors must have the requisite experience to perform the project work and shall provide a list of a minimum of five (5) similar projects ongoing and/or completed over the last ten (10) years with their bid. Bidders lacking adequate experience will be deemed non-responsive and are encouraged not to submit a bid. Bid proposals received after the date and time specified in the invitation will be considered unresponsive and returned to the Bidder unopened. The contractor must comply with State wage rates under the New York State Department of Labor, and Labor Law 220, section 220-h, requiring all laborers, workers, and mechanics on the site to be certified as having successfully completed the OSHA 10-hour construction safety and health course. The contractor shall comply with all OSHA confined space entry requirements and be registered with NYSDOL. There are no state or federal funding requirements as the work is to be funded by the Village. All payment requests shall be submitted on company standard invoice. Contractor shall submit certified payroll with invoices. Question Deadline: 03/02/2026: All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents are to be directed toEngineer. Questions received less than ten (10) days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
