The primary goal of this project is full-depth reclamation of Taxilane K and the southern portion of Taxiway E. The Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) Division of Aeronautics Pavement Management tool lists the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) for Taxilane K at 29 or in "Very Poor" condition and the southern portion of Taxilane E at 31 or in "Very Poor" condition. PCI Data for this pavement was collected in 2023 and it has continued to deteriorate since then. Pavement distresses include longitudinal and transverse cracking, block cracking and loose aggregates. Other work items include mobilization, safety compliance, and contractor surveys. Work associated with the proposed improvements is generally described as follows: Schedule A - Reconstruct Taxilane K and Taxilane E: The project includes reconstruction of approximately 4,500 SY of existing taxilane pavement. A Bid Guaranty, payable in cash, by cashier's check, certified check or bid bond, of 5 percent of the total BID AMOUNT is required. Separate Performance and Payment Bonds each in the amount of 100 percent of the total CONTRACT AMOUNT will be required. Each bidder must supply all the information required by the Bid Documents and Specifications. No contractor, subcontractor, or specialty contractor shall be required to have a current license as a Contractor in the State of Idaho in order to submit a bid or proposal on this project; prior to award and execution of the Contract, the successful bidder shall secure a Idaho Public Works Contractor's License. Prospective Contractors are notified that the work under this Contract is funded in part by a grant from the Federal Aviation Administration and as such solicitation and any resulting contract are subject to specified federal contract provisions. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive any and all informalities and to negotiate contract terms with the successful Bidder, and the right to disregard all non-conforming, non-responsive or conditional Bids.
