Site work and paving for a road / highway in Urbana, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

Bids will be received for the 2026 Asphalt Program (Bid #26-02), which involves asphalt paving of multiple city streets, including a chip seal interlayer or full depth reclamation on selected streets. Bidders must furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the project. Bids must be submitted electronically through Bid Express with a Bid Guaranty Bond for 100% of the bid amount or a certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit for not less than 10% of the bid amount. The successful bidder must provide a satisfactory Performance Bond for 100% of the bid amount. Employees must be paid prevailing wages as established by the Ohio Department of Commerce, and all bidders will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids without discrimination. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive irregularities, and accept any bid deemed most favorable to the owner. The proposed asphalt paving and maintenance is located within the city corporation limits of the City of Urbana, Champaign County, Ohio. The project consists of paving existing streets at various locations within the City of Urbana. In addition, other items required include milling, asphalt patching (as needed), partial depth pavement repairs, full depth reclamation (FDR) with chemical stabilization, chip sealing, tacking, adjusting manholes & water valve boxes to grade and A.C. sealing seams Est.Value- Base Bid is $1,078,000.00 The projects start date shall be no sooner than Monday, July 13, 2026 unless otherwise authorized by the City Engineer. The projects completion date shall be Friday, October 16, 2026. As part of the Base Bid for Item 254 Pavement Planing, Asphalt Concrete, 1.5": o Bon Air Drive shall receive a 1 1/2 " full mill at the Miller Drive intersection and a 1 1/2 " tapered butt joint (20' long) at Bon Air Bend. Additionally, a 6' tapered edge mill (1 1/2 " outer depth) shall be performed on the remainder of the street. Please see Exhibit "B" for a plan view. o Camelot Drive shall receive a 6' tapered edge mill (1 1/2 " outer depth) on the entirety of the street. Please see Exhibits "C" and "D" for a plan view. o Pine Tree Drive shall receive a 6' tapered edge mill (1 1/2 " outer depth) on the entirety of the street. Please see Exhibits "E" and "F" for a plan view. o Cambridge Drive shall receive a 1 1/2 " tapered butt joint (20' long) at the Bon Air Bend intersection. Additionally, a 6' tapered edge mill (1 1/2 " outer depth) shall be performed on the remainder of the street. Please see Exhibit "G" for a plan view. o New Haven Drive shall receive a 1 1/2 " tapered butt joint (20' long) at the Scioto Street (SR 29), Miller Drive, Nova Drive and Seville Drive intersections. Additionally, a 6' tapered edge mill (1 1/2 " outer depth) shall be performed on the remainder of the street. Please see Exhibits "H", "I" and "J" for a plan view. o Players Court shall receive a 1 1/2 " tapered butt joint (20' long) at the Parkway Boulevard intersection. Additionally, a 6' tapered edge mill (1 1/2 " outer depth) shall be performed on the remainder of the street and around the cul-de-sac. Please see Exhibit "K" for a plan view. o Pro Circle shall receive a 1 1/2 " tapered butt joint (20' long) at the Parkway Boulevard intersection. Additionally, a 6' tapered edge mill (1 1/2 " outer depth) shall be performed on the remainder of the street and around the cul-de-sac. Please see Exhibit "K" for a plan view. o Bentwood Court shall receive a 1 1/2 " tapered butt joint (20' long) at the Parkway Boulevard intersection. Additionally, a 6' tapered edge mill (1 1/2 " outer depth) shall be performed on the remainder of the street and around the cul-de-sac. Please see Exhibit "L" for a plan view. o Parkway Boulevard shall receive a 1 1/2 " tapered butt joint (20' long) at the Seville Drive intersection. Additionally, a 6' tapered edge mill (1 1/2 " outer depth) shall be performed from Seville Drive north to the subdivision entry walls near 253 and 254 Parkway Boulevard. From this point north, full depth reclamation is planned. Please see Exhibits "M" and "N" for a plan view.
