This work consists of crack sealing existing streets at various locations within the City of Urbana. Bidders shall furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary in the cost of their bid to complete the project. The Engineers Estimate for the Base Bid is $72,500.00. An Additive Bid of $26,000.00 is for crack sealing at Grimes Municipal Airport Runway. Bids shall be submitted electronically with either a Bid Guaranty Bond in the amount of 100% of the Bid amount or by a certified check, cashier’s check, or letter of credit on a solvent bank in the amount of not less than 10% of the Bid amount, subject to conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond in the amount of 100% of the Bid amount. The contractor and all subcontractors shall pay employees on the project the prevailing wages established by the Ohio Department of Commerce, Bureau of Labor and Worker Safety, including all updates, and comply with Chapter 4115 of the Ohio Revised Code. The current Prevailing Wage Rate Schedule is included in the bid documents. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, waive irregularities in any Bid, and accept any Bid which is deemed to be most favorable to the Owner.
