Sealed bids will be received for work at Grimes Field, Urbana, Ohio: Rehabilitate Runway and Taxiway (Pavement Crack Repairs). Digital and physical copies of Contract Documents are available from Stantec Consulting Services Inc. Bidders must obtain Contract Documents from Stantec and be listed on the bid register to submit a bid. Proposals must be on the forms provided in the Contract Documents. Bids must include either a combined "Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond" for 100 percent of the bid or a certified/cashier's check for 10 percent of the bid. If using a check, a separate Contract Bond for 100 percent of the contract amount will then be required from the successful bidder. Bidders must detail their experience with the type of work described; bids from contractors inexperienced in this type of work will not be considered. Work is subject to various federal requirements, including Civil Rights (General and Title VI Assurances), Domestic Preferences for Procurement, Federal Fair Labor Standards Act, Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970, Prohibition on Certain Telecommunication and Video Surveillance Services or Equipment, and specific safety and construction requirements. The City reserves the right to waive informalities or technical defects or to reject any or all proposals. No award will be made if the price exceeds the Engineer's Estimate by more than 10 percent.
