Site work for a water / sewer project in Grantham, New Hampshire. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The scope of work for the base bid includes but is not limited to: 1. Phase I which includes: The installation of approximately 1,200 linear feet of 4-inch PVC water main and fittings, valves, hydrants, and the replacement of 48 water services on Otter Road. This work shall also consist of removing the existing water service pipe saddles, corporation stops, service pipe, and curb stops, as well as installation of tapping sleeve and valve connections to the existing asbestos cement (AC) water mains, installation of a temporary water system, maintenance of traffic, and gravel roadway rehabilitation. 2. Phase II which includes: The installation of approximately 1,900 linear feet of 4-inch PVC water main on Bay Tree Lane, Old Beach Circle, and College Overlook. This work shall also include the replacement of 61 water services with new corporation stops, service saddles, curb stops, and service pipes, connection to the existing asbestos cement (AC) water main, installation of temporary water system, maintenance of traffic, and gravel roadway rehabilitation. Work may also include Bid Alternate No. 1, which includes drainage improvements in West Cove A. Work includes but is not limited to regrading the roadway near #10, 11, 20, 21, and 22 Bay Tree Lane, and #35-42 Old Beach Circle to direct stormwater to existing draining infrastructure and swales in addition to cleaning select catch basins that have become inundated with material. Completion time for the base bid project shall be as follows if accepted by Owner: Substantial Completion: May 28, 2027 No construction shall occur between July 1st and September 7th, 2026. Refer to section 01014, SCOPE AND SEQUENCE, for additional information. The Bidder further agrees to pay liquidated damages in the amount of $1,300.00 for each milestone, for each consecutive calendar day that the work has not been completed. Definition of milestones provided in Section 01014 SCOPE AND SEQUENCE OF WORK. No Bidder may withdraw a Bid within 60 days after the actual date of opening thereof. For addition to the project plan holder's list to guarantee receipt of addenda, it is recommended interested bidders obtain the Contract Documents directly from Construction Summary. Interested bidders will be prompted to register an email address to access the documents. The selected contractor shall furnish a performance bond and a payment bond in amount at least equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price as stipulated in Section 00700 GENERAL CONDITIONS of these specifications. Bidders will have an opportunity to view the site of the work following the Prebid Conference. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities in bids and to reject any or all bids.
