Fernwood Lane Water Main Replacement The Village District of Eastman (OWNER) is pursuing construction of approximately 1,750 linear feet of new C900 PVC water main on Fernwood Lane in the Town of Grantham, NH. This new water main will provide a more reliable water supply along Fernwood Lane compared to the existing undersized PVC water pipe. The Fernwood Ln Water Main Replacement project includes the following: Installation of approximately 1,750 LF of 6-inch C900 PVC water main on Fernwood Lane. Installation of ductile iron valves and fittings at (2) locations where the new PVC water main connects to the existing water main on Road Round the Lake. Seventeen (17) water services to the edge of the R.O.W. or as required on the Contract drawings. Roadway restoration as required on the Contract drawings The bid proposal that allows the project to be performed within the VDE's available budget and will result in the work being performed in a schedule and manner that is in the best interest of the VDE shall be the basis of selection for award of the work. The VDE reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and the cost of preparing a bid submittal is the sole responsibility of the Bidder. Liquidated damages will be in the amount of $1,500, for each calendar day of delay from the date established for substantial completion, and $1,500 for each calendar day of delay from the date established for final completion. No Bid Bond is required. The successful bidder shall furnish 100% Performance and Payment Bonds in a form acceptable to the VDE upon execution of the Construction Contract. Project will be funded entirely by local funds.
