The Nashua School District (NSD), Nashua, New Hampshire is interested in procuring consulting services for development of a Facilities Master Plan. The Nashua Public School District consists of approximately 10,000 students enrolled in grades K-12. Facilities include 12 Elementary Schools, three Middle Schools, two comprehensive Senior High Schools, a Special Needs alternative school, School Administration building, a Plant Operations complex and Stellos Stadium. Building space is in 2,125,496 square feet, on approximately 382 acres. All 18 schools are accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, and fully approved by the New Hampshire State Department of Education. The primary impetus for this project is the need to develop a Facilities Master Plan to guide the School Administration, the Board of Education and the City in planning for future deferred maintenance or school renovation and construction projects. The NSD's intent is to retain a consulting firm with the qualifications and staff resources necessary to perform facility planning services including, but not limited to, conditional assessment, space and programming needs assessment and development of a long-term facilities master plan. The facilities master plan should focus on the preservation and potential redevelopment and/or readapting of current facilities as well as the identification of and/or planning for new facilities to establish a framework for the anticipated school district facility needs for the next thirty years. If the NSD deems it necessary, it will issue one or more written addenda in response to such questions and those addenda will be forwarded to all firms who have expressed interest in responding to this RFP, as well as being posted online. The Nashua School District reserves the right to waive all formalities and reject any and all proposals when it is in the best interests of the City of Nashua to do so.
