**As of May 4th, 2026, this project has been awarded to Elmire Structures for $1.048,000.** The project consists of the construction of improvements and renovations to the Hornell Jr/Sr High School. Bids are invited for the following contracts: General Trades Work (Contract #102), Plumbing Work (Contract #103), HVAC Work (Contract #104), and Electrical Work (Contract #105). All questions in regard to the meaning of the plans, specifications, or other contract documents will not be made verbally. Ordering from this web portal automatically places the prospective bidder on the plan holders' list and makes them eligible to bid the project. Bid documents are available for electronic download for a non-refundable fee or in printed sets for a refundable fee. Refunds for printed sets will be made to those submitting bids if the printed sets are returned in good condition within seven business days from the award of the contract. Questions regarding the plans, specifications, or contract documents must be made in writing. All RFI's must be received by the specified deadline. Bids must be prepared as set forth in the instructions to bidders, enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder and the title of the work. If submitting for more than one contract, each contract bid must be submitted in a separate envelope. Each bidder must deposit with its bid security in an amount not less than five percent of the base bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the instructions to bidders. Requirements include the owner's sales tax exemption, employment conditions, minimum wage rates, and detailed bidder qualifications, including bonding, insurance requirements, financial statements, bank references, lists of legal proceedings, surety's intent to issue bonds, and a description of similar completed projects.
