Site work for a mixed-use development in New Lenox, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; playground / park / athletic field; educational facility; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The work includes construction of a new synthetic turf practice field with associated fencing, scoreboard, and expanded parking at Central; replacement of field events at East; replacement of tennis courts at West; and replacement of asphalt paving with concrete paving at the Transportation Center. Work is to be awarded as a single contract. Refer to the Drawings and Project Manual for the full extent of the work. A Bid Security of 10% of the Bid is required with the proposal. The Contractor must pay the Prevailing Wage Rates for all work per Illinois law. It is the policy to provide equal opportunity to all qualified businesses and promote utilization of diversified businesses to the maximum extent feasible. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive irregularities, or accept bids that serve the best interest of the District. The Owner may set aside a bid from a contractor who does not exhibit past experience equal to the size and scope of this project. Pre-qualification requirements: Copies of the Bid Documents, including plans and specifications, may be obtained by pre-qualified bidders only. Paper bid documents will be available for purchase at cost to pre-qualified contractors only. The bidder shall have a written sexual harassment policy in place in full compliance with Section 2-105 of the Illinois Human Rights Act. The bidder must also comply with the District's School Board Policy 4:65 - Responsible Bidder Ordinance.
