Remodeling of a mixed-use development in Berne, Indiana. Completed plans call for the remodel of a fire / police facility.
Remodeling project for improvements to the Berne Public Safety Building at 1160 West Main Street, Berne, Indiana. Scope of work includes: construction of new basement drywalled walls (wood studs or drywall glued to concrete), installation of suspended ceiling, enclosing of the furnace and electrical panel, and building storage closets. Specific tasks are: constructing floor to ceiling drywalled walls around electrical panel with steel door and keyed lock; constructing drywalled walls across the east end of the basement with two 6' swinging double doors; constructing drywalled walls and a 6' swinging double door across front of furnace; constructing drywalled wall around sewer pipe from first floor restrooms to basement floor; removing and capping stool flange and any other pipes protruding through the floor that are not in use; patching and repairing floor as needed with concrete patch; installing fire rated suspended ceiling with 2'x2' fire rated ceiling tiles; adding heat runs in the ceiling as needed; adding fifteen 2'x4' flat C-panel light fixtures in grid with dimmer switches; removing and reinstalling smoke detectors, pull stations, Horn Strobes, and switch banks; painting all drywall, doors, and trim with latex paint (gray); installing 4" rubber baseboard on all new walls; removing all trash and debris. All work shall be according to plans and specifications on file.
