Completed plans call for the demolition of a road / highway; for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; water / sewer project; water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.

The project includes but is not limited to reconstruction and widening of Van Buren Street from approximately 150 feet west of Schug Street to Linn Grove Avenue intersection. The work includes demolition of existing street, storm sewer system extension, widening of road, and construction of curbs and sidewalks and all other work required for the completion of the project. Bids are requested for a single prime contract as shown in the Bid Form. Bidders may examine bidding documents at the issuing office on weekdays and may obtain copies via the web-based service of Commonwealth Engineers, Inc. for a non-refundable fee. Printed contract documents are available for an additional non-refundable fee and must include a return street address. Contract documents will not be sold separate from the web-based service, and partial sets are not available. All addenda will be issued via email to plan holders. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all bids, accept or combine bids as deemed desirable, and to waive informalities. Bids may be withdrawn prior to the scheduled bid opening. No bids may be withdrawn for at least sixty days after the scheduled closing time. Bid security must be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. For detailed requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders included in the bidding documents. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all registered plan holders. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
