The East Whittier City School District seeks experienced contracting firms to provide contracting services using a Prime delivery method for the Asphalt Replacement Project at the District Office. Bidders must submit sealed bids, which must be hand delivered to the Facilities Office. Plans and specifications are available on the District's website. The successful bidder shall commence work upon issuance of the Notice to Proceed and complete all work within the time period and milestones set in the bidding documents. There is a liquidated damage rate of $2,000 per calendar day for each day the work remains incomplete. Bids must conform to the requirements of the contract documents. The District reserves the right to reject any and all proposals or waive any irregularities or informalities in any proposal or in the bidding process. No bidder may withdraw their bid for five days after bid opening. Personal contact with any Board of Education member is prohibited and will result in disqualification or termination of the proposal if discovered after approval. Pre-qualification requirements: Each bidder must be a licensed Earthwork and Paving Contractor pursuant to the California Business and Professions Code, possessing a valid Class A License or equivalent at the time of bid and throughout the contract duration. The contractor's license number must be stated on the proposal.
