The project consists of demolition and reconstruction of site work in and around the TK playground area at Morello Park Elementary School, including but not limited to concrete work, drainage improvements, and aggregate base installation. Bidders are required to possess one or more of the following State of California contractors' licenses: A, B, which must remain active and in good standing throughout the term of the contract. Bidders must also be registered as public works contractors with the Department of Industrial Relations. All bids must be submitted on forms provided by the District and must conform to all pertinent contract documents, including the instructions to bidders. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond, cashier's check, or certified check for ten percent (10%) of the total bid price. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond and may substitute securities for any monies withheld by the District. DVBE participation certification or evidence of a good faith effort to solicit DVBE participation is required. All workers must be paid not less than the prevailing rate of wages. The contract will be awarded, if at all, to the lowest responsive responsible bidder based on the base bid amount only. All bidders and subcontractors agree to be bound by the District's Project Labor Agreement. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids or waive any irregularity in any bid received.
