The Town reserves the right to reject any bid or portion of a bid, to waive any informality, and to award the contract by items or in total to the responsible and eligible bidder offering the lowest price deemed in the Town's best interest. Bids must conform with M.G.L. c. 149 and M.G.L. c. 30, § 39M. If the total contract exceeds $25,000, the successful bidder must provide a labor and materials payment bond in the amount of fifty percent of the contract, issued by a company authorized to do business in Massachusetts and satisfactory to the awarding authority.
