The purpose of this contract is to provide architectural, engineering, and related services to the King County Department of Executive Services, Harborview Construction and Infrastructure Division for the 3T MRI scanner project at Harborview Medical Centers Ninth and Jefferson Building. The project includes multidisciplinary services required for the design and construction of the MRI scanner installation and related facility modifications. Services shall include but are not limited to architectural design, structural engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, acoustical engineering, and cost estimating. The scope is anticipated to be completed in two phases: Phase 1 covers alternatives analysis, design, GC/CM procurement services, and bidding services; Phase 2 covers services during construction. Consultants must coordinate closely with the Owner Advisor and General Contractor/Construction Manager, providing technical assistance in document preparation for state review applications and presentations. The project requires the imaging center to remain operational during construction and considerations for disruptions to adjacent tenants and court functions. Late proposals will not be accepted or considered. King County reserves the right to reject any and all proposals at any time and may cancel the procurement at any time, even after a notice of intent to award has been issued. The county also reserves the right to reject any proposer debarred by a local, state, or federal agency. All costs incurred in proposal preparation and participation in the RFP and negotiation process shall be borne by the proposing firm.
