Demolition and site work for a water / sewer project in Middletown, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Question Deadline 03/26/2026 Every request for such interpretation should be in writing addressed to Pitingaro & Doetsch Consulting Engineers, P.C. 20 Industrial Drive, Middletown NY 10941, and to be given consideration must be received at least five (5) days prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids. The project consists of coordinating with the Town of Wallkill Water System Operator or designated representative to schedule construction activities to ensure that water supply is not interrupted. The scope includes demolishing the existing controls building, removing and disposing of the existing generator, furnishing and installing a proposed concrete platform, stairs, and handrails for the generator, performing fence removal and reinstallation, and all trench excavations for electrical conduit and splice boxes (with wire, conduit, and splice boxes furnished and installed by the Electrical Contractor). The contractor will also furnish and install a proposed mini split system (with electrical connections by others), furnish and install the generator (with electrical connections by others), furnish and install the proposed automatic transfer switch (with electrical connections by others), furnish and install a well control panel with required mounting hardware (with electrical connections by others), and furnish and install well ASDs (with electrical connections by others). The contractor is to provide all labor, supervision, materials, equipment, tools, utilities, and incidentals necessary to complete the work as specified in the technical specifications and as shown on the plans. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid guarantee of at least 5% of the bid amount, payable to the Town of Wallkill, as a guarantee that the bidder will execute the contract and file acceptable performance and payment bonds within ten days after award of the contract. Bidders are required to execute a non-collusion bidding certificate pursuant to Section 103d of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York. Bidders must observe requirements relating to conditions of employment and minimum wage rates under the contract, segregated facilities, Section 109, Executive Order 11246, and comply with Sections 291-299 of the Executive Law of the State of New York and all other applicable laws and regulations. Minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex, or national origin in consideration for an award.
