The project consists of coordinating with the Town of Wallkill Water System Operator or their designee to schedule construction activities so that the water supply is not interrupted. The work includes electrical demolition, such as disconnection of electrical devices and equipment, relocation of a transformer and SCADA panel, removal and security of all power and signal wire for the wells and metering building. It includes furnishing and installing all conduit, wire, and splice boxes to relocate all underground circuitry to the electrical building (with trenching by others). The contractor will furnish and install all conduit and wire and make all connections to the proposed Generator and ATS (Generator and ATS furnished by others), furnish and install outdoor lighting, switches, and circuitry for the proposed generator pad, and furnish and install all circuits, power wire, signal wire, and disconnects for all proposed devices in the electrical room including but not limited to a mini-split system (furnished by others), relocated SCADA panel, relocated transformer, control panel (furnished by others), and ASDs (furnished by others). The contractor is to provide all labor, supervision, materials, equipment, tools, utilities, and incidentals necessary to complete the work as specified in the Technical Specifications and as shown on the plans. Each bid must be accompanied by an acceptable form of Bid Guarantee in an amount equal to at least 5% of the amount of the Bid, payable to the Town of Wallkill as a guarantee that if the Bid is accepted, the Bidder will execute the Contract and file acceptable Performance and Payment Bonds within ten days after the award of the Contract. Bidders are required to execute a non-collusion bidding certificate. Attention is called to requirements relating to conditions of employment, minimum wage rates, Segregated Facilities, Section 109, Executive Order 11246, and compliance with Sections 291-299 of the Executive Law of the State of New York and all other applicable laws and regulations. Minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids and will not be discriminated against based on race, color, sex or national origin in consideration for an award.
