As of April 30, 2026, the project was awarded to Shilling Construction, with an awarded amount of $1,633,393.46. Sealed bids will be received for the 2026 Asphalt Overlay Program, which includes approximately 11.78 miles of Bituminous Hot Mix Asphalt at two locations in Riley County, and performing approximately 179,684 square yards of asphalt pavement milling at those locations. Construction involves milling asphalt pavement to a depth of 1.0 inch and delivering and applying 1.5 inches of Bituminous Hot Mix Asphalt at the specified locations. All bidders must be on the plan holders list to be eligible. Bids must be sealed and submitted to the Riley County Clerk's Office. No bidder may withdraw a bid for 30 days following the opening of bids. The required security, working days, proposed start date, and bid amount will all be considered in awarding the bid. The Riley County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive informalities, and accept the bid deemed in the best interest of Riley County.
