Renovation of a detention facility in Pendleton, Indiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
The work consists of replacing the Admissions and Orientation (A&O) building Air Handling Unit (AHU) system at the Pendleton Juvenile Correctional Facility. An add alternate is requested with the bid for the replacement of the heating boiler and domestic water heater systems as part of the same project. The construction work includes all equipment, piping, insulation, controls, and electrical work needed to provide a complete and operable system. Bids will only be accepted from bidders who hold a valid Certificate of Qualification from the State Certification Board, Public Works Division, Department of Administration, for HVAC work in excess of $1,000,000. Bids must be a PDF of the complete bid package documents and all required documents, with the PDF secured so adjustments cannot be made. The email subject must contain the project number and name and the due date and time. Bids can only be sent to the IDOA Deputy Commissioner, with no copies to anyone else. A Minority and Women's Business Enterprise Participation Plan must be included in the proposal, showing good faith efforts to meet a participation goal of 7% for minority participation and 5% for women-owned business participation. The plan must indicate the names and contact information for participating firms, the services to be supplied, and the specific dollar amounts to be directed to each firm. Only those bidders holding the required certificate of qualification will have their bids considered.
