Renovation of an educational facility in Quincy, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Work generally consists of the replacement of the existing roofing system, with all associated flashings and metal trim at the Early Childhood and Family Center, 401 South 8th Street, Quincy, IL 62301. Bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of the total base bid. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the Quincy School District No. 172, equal to this amount will be an acceptable Bid Bond. Labor statutes and prevailing wage rates apply, requiring conformity to all Illinois statutory requirements regarding labor and not less than the prevailing rate of wages for all classifications as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor. Bidders must comply with statutes regarding preference to Illinois citizens for public works projects, have a written sexual harassment policy, and a written substance abuse prevention program on file prior to commencing work. All work must be completed in occupied areas and systems functional on or before July 31, 2026. Awards will be made to the lowest responsible bidder as determined by the Board of Education, considering experience, performance history, conformity with specifications, terms of delivery, quality, and serviceability. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any informalities, irregularities, technicalities, or defects in any bid.
