Qualified contractors are invited to bid on replacing a portion of the asphalt yard at the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) Knox Court facility located at 3570 South Knox Court, Denver, Colorado 80236. This project is designed to remove and replace failing portions of asphalt pavement. The project consists of demolishing portions of existing asphalt, ensuring adequate base conditions are in place, and installation of new asphalt paving. It also includes demolition and replacement of the concrete apron in front of the garage building that is surrounded by the asphalt section. All work shall be conducted in accordance with the design drawings and project specifications. The project has a small potential to encounter petroleum products or hazardous materials. If known or suspect contaminated soils or groundwater is encountered during project excavation, the Contractor shall immediately halt work at that location and the CDOT Property Management Environmental Specialist shall be contacted: David Mendel (720) 642-0537.
