The City of South Jordan is seeking a qualified and experienced contractor to perform roadway improvements at Towne Meadows Court, approximately between Orchard View Dr. and Shields Ln (9800 S). The project consists mainly of the construction of roadway improvements and includes, but is not limited to, furnishing and installing waterline, storm drain, street lights, sidewalks, roadway grading and overlay, striping, and miscellaneous landscaping improvements (Base Bid Schedule A). An Alternative Bid Schedule B includes work in the Union Pacific Railroad right-of-way at approximately 10000 S and 371 W, which involves mill and overlay and striping of the areas in the plans. Striping for Schedule B must be completed within 72 hours of overlay. The contractor is required to obtain permits and follow Union Pacific Railroad requirements, including providing two flaggers trained or approved by Union Pacific Railroad. Contractors are expected to follow all applicable local, city, state, and federal standards, codes, and specifications, as well as Union Pacific Railroad requirements. Bidders must carefully review the IFB to become familiar with all requirements, submit all required information and documents through BONFIRE, and direct all project questions through BONFIRE's Q&A by the stated deadline. Communication with City employees regarding the project while the RFP is open is prohibited. All bids must be submitted online by the stated deadline.
