Renovation of an office development in Edmonton, Alberta. Completed plans call for the renovation of a office development.
Work of this Contract comprises the following: .1 Demolish select doors and frames as indicated in drawings. .2 Provide all dust and debris control as per drawings. .3 During demolition work, the contractor will be responsible to note the existing material and condition of the demising wall around the existing demolished frame. This information will be given to the Owner’s Architect and used to determine if the existing demising wall has sufficient fire rating. Should the fire rating be determined to be insufficient on a demising wall, corrective measures may be directed by the Owner’s Architect using funds and procedures specified in Section 01 21 13 – Cash Allowances. Should the anticipated cost for the corrective measure(s) to upgrade the fire rating of demising wall(s) be greater than the allocated Cash Allowance, then no direction shall be given to the Contractor. .4 Install new doors and/or frames with specified hardware as per door schedule in drawings. .5 Make all connections of security hardware devices (existing re-deployed and/or new supplied) to existing security system as per drawings. Ensure any programming alterations as a result of the Work matches existing door access logic on site. .6 Make all repairs to surrounding drywall and ceiling affected as a result of the Work to match existing surrounding area. .7 Remove and dispose of all demolished material as a result of the Work.
