Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Edmonton, Alberta. Completed plans call for the construction of a one-story above grade educational facility; two-story above grade military facility; four-story above grade military facility; and two-story above grade educational facility.

The prospective subcontract work will encompass anticipated security measures, Indigenous participation, and requirements for Industrial and Technological Benefits (ITB). EllisDon Corporation as the Design Builder has been contracted by SkyAlyne Canada Limited Partnership to provide design services and constructability oversight to complete the design of the Future Aircrew Training (FAcT) Program infrastructure at three sites across Canada. The infrastructure will support training of personnel, storage and maintenance of aircraft, as well as accommodation facilities for personnel. At CFB Moose Jaw (15 Wing), the work includes construction of a three (3) building campus consisting of a new training, simulators, and hangars facility; a mess hall; and an accommodations facility. The new two-story building will house classrooms, lockers, auditorium, offices, meeting rooms, simulator units, briefing rooms, storage and maintenance for aircraft, supply storage and warehouse, workshops, vehicle storage, and staff support functions. The single-storey mess hall will provide food services for students, staff, and guests, and the four-storey accommodations facility will provide living quarters. The Early Works Package A includes water, fire water, storm, gas, electrical, and communications utilities removal, relocations, and tie-ins, as well as fence installation. Early Works Package B includes balance of underground utilities removals and new installations, bulk excavation and backfill, contaminated soil removals, weeping tile installation, site trailer compound setup, and site reinstatement. Interested organizations should respond with a valid safety certification, address security requirements, and provide information on Indigenous participation. Organizations are encouraged to identify if they are Indigenous-owned businesses from Saskatchewan or Manitoba, or if they plan to provide subcontracting, employment, or training opportunities for Indigenous Peoples and businesses in these provinces. Official bid documents must be obtained from www.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform.
