Renovation of an educational facility in Oneonta, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The work includes replacing all existing windows, upgrading the building's mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, and retaining the brick pier facade while adding new glazing. Interior areas will be demolished and rebuilt to create updated layouts, including new partitions, finishes, and circulation paths. The work also involves installing a geothermal well field and connecting it to a new heating and cooling system. The overall construction activities cover building envelope improvements, full systems replacement, interior renovation, and integration of new geothermal infrastructure. Bidders must review the Bid and Post Bid Checklist for more information on qualifications and requirements. All bidders must present evidence of skill, experience, and financial qualifications. Subcontracting is permitted, and principal subcontractors must be named within 48 hours after bid opening. Bidders must submit within 48 hours either certification of the NYS VendRep questionnaire or a signed and notarized paper CCA2 form (Version 3/22 only), Attachments A, B, and C, Appendix A form, work descriptions, and preliminary project schedule. The low bidder must execute and abide by the terms of the project-specific Project Labor Agreement, which potential bidders should read in its entirety before submitting a proposal. EEO and MWBE participation goals apply. This project involves the comprehensive renovation of approximately 69,000 sf of area at Netzer Hall spread over four floors, including the roof. The work includes, but is not limited to, concrete slab demolition and removals, asbestos abatement, cutting and patching, concrete, masonry, structural steel, steel stairs, steel platforms, miscellaneous metals, glass railings, misc. carpentry, millwork, thermal protection, sealants, doors and frames, curtain walls, aluminum storefronts/entrances, hardware, finishes, acoustic wall/ceiling panels, wall coverings, ACT ceilings, metal studs and GWB partitions, carpet and LVT flooring, porcelain tile, toilet accessories, dimensional signage, fire protection, EPDM Roofing, site utilities, sitework, geothermal well field, mechanical, electrical, fire protection and plumbing.
