Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Tucson, Arizona. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility; and for paving for a transportation facility.
The Tucson Airport Authority invites construction manager/general contractor firms to submit a Statement of Qualifications to provide preconstruction services and potentially enter into a Guaranteed Maximum Price construction phase contract as a general contractor for the Tucson International Airport Safety Enhancement (ASE) project. Anticipated preconstruction services include constructability and phasing review, conceptual cost estimating services, scheduling, value engineering, and other preconstruction services. The selected firm(s) will be responsible for modifications to runway 12/30 to convert it to 12L/30R, which include relocation of the aircraft landing threshold, new pavement markings, relocation of navigational aids (Instrument Landing System including glideslope and MALSR), reconfiguration of runway airfield ground lighting, relocation or new installation of signage, underground utilities, demolition of existing non-standard taxiways, construction of new taxiways, grading, soil stabilization, pavement construction, and associated temporary electrical service. All work must adhere to applicable FAA and TAA airfield construction safety guidance. The selected firm(s) are also expected to use Critical Path Scheduling tools and work collaboratively with all applicable entities. Firms must comply with the Tucson International Airport Security Program for access and identification. Instructions to bidders include requirements to submit one original and five copies of the Statement of Qualifications by the specified deadline. SOQs should not include prices or pricing information. All costs related to the response are the responsibility of the respondent. The TAA reserves the right to reject any or all SOQs or cancel the RFQ at its discretion. Respondents must complete and submit firm information for inclusion on the TAA interest list. The TAA has a non-discrimination policy in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and encourages participation of disadvantaged and small businesses. The proposer will be required to track and certify payments to subcontractors.
