Project work includes: -Replacement of Bridge No. 1701102 on US 301 Southbound over MD 290 The existing three span steel beam bridge has span lengths of 42'-6", 47'-1", and 47'-1" with an existing clear roadway of 40'-0". The proposed single span steel girder bridge has a span length of 85'-0", with a proposed clear roadway of 40'-0". All new abutment construction will be supported on steel HP piling. -There is 0.37 miles of upgrading for the US 301 Southbound approach roadways, which includes resurfacing of US 301 Southbound, placement of new traffic barriers, stormwater management facilities, signing, and permanent pavement striping. -One lane of existing traffic in each direction on US 301 Southbound will be maintained at all times utilizing staged construction Classification: F - $2,500,001 to $10,000,000 In accordance with State Finance and Procurement Title 13 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, no bid, performance or payment bonds are required for bids less than $100,000.00. However, bids $100,000.00 and above will not be considered unless a Bid Security is submitted as outlined in the Invitation for Bids. Bid Security shall equal at least five percent (5%) of the total amount bid. Also, the successful bidder will be required to supply Payment and Performance Bonds for all Contracts in excess of $100,000.00 The MDOT SHA reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
