The project consists of a renovation of a department chais suite (approximately 3,200 SF) on the third floor of Sieg Hall. Work will include reconfiguring the space into a contiguous chair suite to be used by faculty staff and students, selective demolition of walls to create contiguous chair suite, removal and addition of walls and doors, per site visit plan notes. The contractor will need to modify mechanical, electrical and plumbing to accommodate new suite configurations. The scope will include updating all finishes including paint and flooring, per the design documents. The contractor will need to coordinate with the furniture vendor on their installing of new furniture elements (furniture not in scope). Rough-in and coordination to facilitate installation of IT scope (being installed by UW IT) is also required. Womens Business Enterprise (WBE): More than 50% owned and controlled by one or more women. The University of Washington has determined that an overall aspirational goal of 20% Business Equity Enterprise (BEE) utilization, inclusive of 15% minority and women-owned business utilization, is practicable and attainable on this construction project; that goal is negotiable based upon the specialized nature of the work and the relative availability of BEE to perform the specific work scopes identified in this project.
